441,627. Intermediate frequency transformers for superheterodyne wireless receivers. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., and EARP, C. W., 63, Aldwych, London. July 23, 1934, No. 21485. [Class 38 (ii)] [See also Groups XXXVI and XL] Intermediate frequency transformers for superheterodyne wireless receivers are provided with means for adjusting the relative positions of the windings which means are adapted to extend outside the receiver whereby the latter may be adjusted as regards selectivity during operation. The arrangement shown comprises a pair of such transformers having fixed secondaries 1 and slidably mounted primaries 6 adapted to be moved in opposition to springs 10 by cams 13 on a common operating spindle 11 carried by a bracket 12 and extending through the side of the chassis. Stop means 20 are provided to limit rotation of the spindle to 180‹.
