Abstract
441,570. Roller - way conveyers. KRUPP GRUSONWERK AKT.-GES., F., Buckau, Magdeburg, Germany. Oct. 10, 1934, No. 29014. Convention date, Oct. 23, 1933. [Class 78 (i)] A stop plate 6 for arresting bars from the roller table 22 of a rolling mill or shears is mounted on a carriage 1 with wheels 3 running on rails 4 which are below the level of the floor and laterally thereof to facilitate lifting the bars off by crane and to prevent scale falling on the wheels and rails. A hand lever 12 operates a cam to press against the rails 4 to clamp the carriage in position. Instead of locating the wheels 3 and rails 4 as shown, the carriage 1 may be carried on arms 20 with wheels 21 running on rails 18. The stop plate is provided with a buffer spring 7. The carriage may be advanced by cable, worm and nut or motor and rack and pinion. Bars may be discharged from the table into one or other of side collecting troughs 19 by a swinging lever 23, dropping down inclines 5 and 24 in so doing.
