[Class 100 (ii)] Relates to rotary duplicators adapted for printing in several colours at one operation and comprising a cylinder having a perforated part-periphery the inner surface of which is divided by partitions into ink-confining areas, an absorbent sheet over the perforated partperiphery, and a stencil over the absorbent sheet, and consists in securing together by adhesive the part-periphery, absorbent sheet, and stencil on lines in register with the divisions. A perforated diaphragm 6 is secured to a frame 7 provided with studs 8 adapted to engage slots 9 in spaced discs 3 secured together and rotatable about a shaft 5, hooks 10 with keepers 10a being provided on the discs for engaging heads on the studs, whereby the frame may be locked in operative position, swung into the position shown in Fig. 2, for applying ink, or completely removed. Partitions 15, Fig. 7, are soldered to the inside of the diaphragm to provide ink-containing compartments, the usual ink-pad is attached to the diaphragm after applying gum to the latter along the boundaries of the desired colour areas, and gum is applied along corresponding lines to a stencil mounted on the diaphragm in the usual manner. The ink may be contained in removable trays 17 each fitting within a compartment and having perforations coinciding with those of the diaphragm and having also burred edges to engage in the diaphragm and so ensure registration.
