Convention dates, Oct. 14, 1933 and Feb. 2, 1934. [Class 64 (i)] A water heater having a control cook for the delivery of warm or boiling water has above the water heating chamber a steam chamber which is divided into two or more parts 9, 10 one connected directly to the water space and the other connected with the first and with a steam discharge pipe 12 leading steam downwardly into the open. The steam chambers are annularly arranged round the flue and. communicate by an opening 11. The outer chamber 10 has on the side opposite the opening 11 a small tube 13 in the base leading condensed steam back to the water space and the steam discharge pipe 12 leading down within the heater. Cold water enters at 1 and passes an adjustable throttle 3 into an annular chamber 4 surrounding a gas burner or other heater containing a lamellar heating body 6. The water outflow tube 7 leads down from the top of the heating chamber to an outlet 8 where a mixing chamber for cold water is provided. A device for cutting off the gas when the water supply fails or is cut off is provided. The steam pipe 12 may have a whistle or a pressure valve.
