Abstract
440,008. Transformers and electromagnets. FLIEDER, J., 568, Radotin, Prague. April 1, 1935, No. 10066. [Classes 35 and 38 (ii)] A clamping device for laminated cores 3 of electrical apparatus particularly transformers comprises a strip of sheet metal, the body 1 of the strip passing through the core 3 and the ends of the strip 2<a>, 2<b> being bent over to engage with the opposite faces of the core 3 or with plates 5, 6, 5a, 6a disposed on these faces. The ends of the clamp device may be split and the separated sections 2<a>, 2<b> bent in opposite directions to form tubular guides in which stiffening members such as wires or flat pins 4, 4<a> are disposed. The body 1 of the clamp may be slit longitudinally for part of its length and the parts thus separated spread apart slightly to grip the sides of the passage in the laminations. A number of clamp devices may be disposed in a core in edge to edge relationship.
