437,803. Lathes. PITTLER WERK, ZEUGMASCHINENFABRIK AKT.-GES.- Wahren, Leipsic, Germany. July 12, 1935, No. 20030. Convention date, Nov. 17, 1934. [Class 83 (iii)] An automatic lathe, particularly one in which the spindle is axially movable is provided with a pivoted lever support 3 for a tool 7, the lever being fitted with an oblique abutment surface 6 which in the working position abuts a conical stop 9 mounted in the machine frame. The surface 6 may be formed on the pin 5 which connects the tool lever to a link 4 operated from a cam K. The depth of cut may be micrometrically altered by adjustment of the stop 9.
