[Class 136 (i)] The mudguards of motor vehicles have the form in plan of a vertical cross-section through an aeroplane wing, so as to conform to the curved lines of flow of air along the vehicle body, as indicated at 4, 5, Fig. 3. The form and direction of cross-sections at different levels vary in order to conform to variations in the lines of flow. An inner guard 4<a> Fig. 4, surrounds the wheel in close proximity to the periphery. The mudguards of the front wheels are mounted so that they pivot with the wheels in steering. The outer face of each mudguard is provided with a removable cover 4<b> to facilitate access to and removal of the wheel.
