Abstract
435,078. Aircraft gun mountings. PILAIN, R., 20, Rue Terme, Lyons, France. March 12, 1934, No. 33766. Divided out of and addition to 435,040 under which a Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Sept. 11, 1934. [Class 92 (i)] The spring-controlled device for compensating for the action of wind-pressure and gravity on mountings of the " ring " type as claimed in the parent Specification has the spring in the form of a rod 10 subject to torsion. The rod carries at one end an arm 35 connected by a link 37 with a limb 4 of the arch member supporting the gun 5. At the other end the rod carries an arm 31 which is connected by a link 33 with a crank arm 27 geared to rotate synchronously with the rotary ring 2 supporting the gun. The link 37 may be connected to a pivoted toothed sector geared to the arm 4 and ball joints are provided at the extremities of the links 33, 37.
