Abstract

An iron alloy, for the production of rolls comprises 2,7-3,2 per cent of carbon, 0.55 -1,0 per cent of phosphorus, 0,3-1,0 per cent of chromium, 0,3-0,6 per cent of manganese, 0,9-1,6 per cent of silicon, and 0,07 -0,15 per cent of sulphur, the remainder being iron.
