Abstract

432,842. Surgical syringes. JONES, F. C., Cremorne Works, Lots Road, Chelsea, London. Nov. 29, 1934, No. 34331. [Class 81 (ii)] In a vaginal or like bulbsyringe the bulb 1 has a large mouth 2 receiving a stopper 4 slidably carrying the nozzle 3. The stopper 4 and mouth 2 are preferably provided with complemental saw-edged serrations 4<1> which hold the stopper during use but permit forcible removal thereof for cleaning and drying the bulb. Alternatively screwthreads may be provided. The nozzle 3 carries at its lower end a hard rubber or other washer 5 having a conical flange 8 engaging a seating in the stopper. An obturator 9, with concentric corrugations, is provided. When not in use the nozzle is slidably collapsed within the bulb.
