432,237. Junction boxes. HENLEY'S TELEGRAPH WORKS CO., Ltd., W. T., 11, Holborn Viaduct, London, and CLEMENTS, W. R., 7, West Park Avenue, Kew Gardens, Surrey. May 12, 1934, No. 14377. [Class 38 (i)] A junction box for making branch connections from cables passing through the box, for example, for tapping overhead lines running along a wall, comprises a base portion 1 of insulating- material formed with grooves 6 to accommodate the through - going cables and recesses 7 fitted with connecting members 11 to which the branch connections are made, the connecting members extending above the flat surface 8 of the box so that the branch connections pass across the top of the box on either side of a central boss 5 in a direction substantially at rightangles to the main cables and emerge either separately or together through one or more openings 9 in the side of a lid 2 also of insulating-material.
