[Class 103 (vi)] Relates to rail vehicles of the kind, such as is described in Specification 410,000, that is equipped with flangeless wheels having resilient tyres adapted to be guided on the rails by means of freely-rotating inclined guide-discs which have peripheral portions extending below the tread surface of the main wheels and are mounted on an independent structure designed for attachment to the axle or other unsprung part of the vehicle. According to theinvention, the sub-structure comprises inner and outer arms 9, 10 bridged at their lower ends by an axlepin 11 on which the guide-disc 8 rotates with interposed roller bearings 30, 31. Preferably the arms 9, 10 are formed of stampings or welded sheet metal structures, the outer arm 9 being adjustably secured to the bogie frame by bolts 14 and co-operating elongated slots, while rubber pads 23 with or without packings 24 are interposed between the upper ends of the arms 10 and the axle casings 6 or similar part. In the arrangement shown two guide discs 8, 8<a> are associated with the wheel 3, the inner arm 10 supporting the disc 8<a> being also secured to the bogie frame. Twin taper roller bearings 30, 31 separated by a distancepiece 32 and provided with suitable lubricating and dust-excluding means are employed.
