430,210. Valve modulating systems. POHJANPALO, J. J., 56 C30, Runeberginkatu, Helsinki, Finland. Aug. 29, 1934, No. 17644. [Class 40 (v)] A modulation system of the floating-carrier type utilizes a diode G for the rectification of the signal, and both the signal voltage supplied through a transformer T and the rectified voltage appearing across the resistance R are applied to the grid of the modulating valve M. A condenser C gives a suitable lag to the rectified voltage. As shown, the modulating-valve M is in series with the carrier wave amplifier L, but in another form, the modulating-valve M has the carrier wave applied to its grid.
