429,241. Paper &c. bags; packeting. FUERY, G. T., 8, Newhall Street, Birmingham. -(Les Produits Cellulosiques Soc. Anon. ; 134, Boulevard Haussmann, Paris) Nov. 1, 1934, No. 31334. [Classes 94 (i) and 94 (ii)] A bag of cellulosic film comprises a transparent sheath 11, which may be coloured, adapted to fold flat, within which is inserted a strip of rigid or semi-rigid material 12-16, which is also capable of being folded flat, the strip being so arranged that it forms at least one of the lateral walls 12, which is glued &c. to the sheath, the top 13, 14 and bottom 16 of an interior reinforcing frame when it is pushed into U-form thus unfolding the sheath 11, or vice-versa, when refolded flat the sheath 11 is folded flat again. In a modification the strip 12-16 is in two portions, parts of which, when the reinforced bag is erected, form a double reinforced bottom in addition to the top 13, 14. For filling, the erected sheath is placed over a stand 25 the contents inserted and the top closed with or without adhesive. The filled bag is then removed from the stand 25, turned over, and the bottom closed. The bottom portion may contain fine perforations for ventilation purposes. The strip 12-16, which may be of cardboard &c. may bear any inscription or advertising material on its outer surface.
