428,714. Preparation of cellulosic fibrous material for making boards &c. POLLAK, J. E., 20, Holborn, London.- (Gewerkschaft Aufbau; 18, Dusseldorferstrasse, Duisburg, Germany) Feb. 15, 1934, No. 4602. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Aug. 20, 1934.] [Class 96] Plates, moulded articles, &c. of high rigidity and strength and with a high volume of interstices, for building, and sound, heat, and electrical insulation are made from fibres of straw &c. boiled with alkali metal monosulphites with or without alkali metal silicates or caustic alkalies, to which straw &c. may be added mechanically prepared fibrous material, e.g. rolled straw, coarse wood pulp, &c.
