Convention date, Sept. 19, 1932. [Class 78 (i)] In a long endless inclined conveyer consisting of articulated trough-like wagons running on rails of the kind in which the ascending run is connected to the descending run through the medium of an endless chain, the dogs a, Fig. 3, on the chain b are caused to bear against the abutments d on the wagons on each run by allowing a longitudinal displacement of the frame carrying the two chain wheels. The connecting chain may be driven by a motor. Where the two runs lie in the same inclined plane, driving chains b, Fig. 6, are disposed below each run and are connected by a shaft f carrying two chain wheels e.
