Abstract

427,123. Moulding wheel tyres. BRIDGE & CO., Ltd., D., Castleton Iron Works, Castleton, Lancashire.-(National Rubber Machinery Co. ; Akron, Ohio, U.S.A.) Oct. 30, 1933, No. 30034. [Class 87 (ii)] A widthwise-adjustable tyre-building drum of collapsable or non-collapsable type comprises a central member 12 having reduced peripheries 13 and adjustable side members 14 which have pairs of threaded apertures 18 fashioned at intervals circumferentially. Setscrews 16 pass from below through closed slots 17 in the reduced parts 13 and engage one or other of the apertures 18. A gap shield 19 of light-gauge metal is secured to the central member 12 and extends over the side members 14.
