[Class 143] An automatic weighing - machine for weighing one of two different varieties of granular material having different specific gravities (for example, wheat and oats) is provided with interconnected means arranged for simultaneous actuation whereby in changing over from one material to the other the effective counterbalancing weight upon the weighbeam is varied, the compensating weight for the falling material at cut-off is varied, and the feed-gate aperture is adjusted. The change-over is effected by moving the handlever a from the position shown, to a vertical position in engagement with a catch d. This movement raises a rod e and frame f to lift an auxiliary weight box i from the normal weight box h, and by means of a rock-shaft l carrying radiating arms interchanges the two compensating levers p, p' and moves a plate a to change the size of the feed orifice at the mouth of the supply hopper t. The number of weighings are registered on two counters y, z, for wheat and oats respectively, actuated at the conclusion of each weighing by a rod 6 raised in known manner. At the change-over to a different material the rod e displaces the counter-actuating tappets 10, 11 so that the appropriate tappet is presented above its operating lever 7 or 9 the other tappet being then inoperative.
