[Class 51 (i)] A rotary grate c is provided with one or more clinker cutters a each consisting of a blade attached to the grate-supporting ring b and projecting into the space between the lower edge of the grate and the wall e of the combustion chamber. Part of the blade projects above and part below the edge of the grate and the blade is inclined at substantially 45‹, the upper part leading as the grate rotates. The cutters may be of angle section with the flange d directed outwardly and bevelled at each end as shown. Specification 403,705 is referred to.
