426,114. Surface apparatus. HUBERT, C. A., 6, Rue du GÚnÚral Gouraud, Strasbourg, France. Aug. 11, 1934, No. 23277. [Class 64 (iii)] Gilled tubes 1 are assembled into a heatexchanger by casting into a mould containing a series of the tubes, a plastic material for producing blocks 3 having parallel side faces extending tangentially to the body of the tubes, the blocks defining ducts of uniform cross-section. The plastic material may be refractory or non- refractory such as clay or infusorial earth, and the gills 2 may be circular, square, oval or polygonal.
