Abstract

423,809. ItUntgen-ray dental - film holders. CHAPMAN, H. H., 77, Rose Valley, Brentwood, Essex. Sept. 4, 1933, No. 24508. [Classes 98 (i) and 98 (ii)] A waterproof wrapping for one or more dental X-ray films 1 assembled in a pack with a sheet of black paper 2 on each side, and a sheet of metal foil 3 on one side of the assembly, comprises two similar envelopes one within the other, each consisting of (1) a sheet of paper 4 larger than the film assembly, placed against the film side of the pack, and having its margins 5 turned over to the metal foil side, and (2) a sheet of paper 6 placed against the metal foil side, and secured by adhesive. Either or each envelope is of waterproof material, and the two together are ligbt-tiglit. The inner envelope may be of light-proof black paper. To render the wrapping readily removable, a cut 9 is made in the back sheet 6 of the outer envelope, and is continued in the form of perforations 10. When the package is bent so as to be convex rearwardly, the cut provides a tongue that may be gripped to tear the envelope. The inner envelope is piovided with a similar and similarly-situated cut and perforations, the cut portion being folded over at 7 and stuck to the overlying back sheet 6 of the outer envelope. A star 11 on the outer envelope, and an indentation 12 on each layer, indicate the foil side of the package. The specification refers to a similar known package provided with only one waterproof envelope of the above and described kind.
