Be it known that RAYMOND R. TAYLOR, a citizen of the United States, residing at Rochester, in the county of Monroe, State of New York, have invented' a new and useful Improvement 'in Dental X Ray Film Packets, of which the following is a speci- This invention relates to a dental X-ray iilm package of the kind in whichthe films are individually packed and marketed; and

4 in which the films are exposed to the action of X-rays, the package not being opened4 until after exposure.

The objects of my invention are .td'prfof-y vide a package of this kind which is `veasy and inexpensive tomanufaeture, which has g no protruding points or corners, the-surface being smooth and non-irritating and the corners rounded, so that itmay be used in a'patients mouth with the minimum 'of inconvenience; which yis so constructedv that,y itmay be readily opened in the dark or in. i 4a very dim light, and prepared for development with the greatestffacility. The packet comprises two sensitized films,

Around these elements is folded the cover. comprising the inner and outer sheets 15 and 11. The inner cover sheet 15 is ymade of light proof paper or clothor a combination of both, and outer cover sheet 11 is made of a water and light proof'paper or cloth or a combination of both. rllhese two cover'elements are larger than the films, andl the protective sheetsl and 18 and their edges are folded around these and partially over the rear Surface of sheet 16.

While this specific embodiment of my in'- vention is described, it is understood that I contemplate the substitution of such equivalent structures as are embraced within my invention as defined inthe claims.

A package comprising a sheet of sensitive material, a protective sheet on each side thereof, a protective envelop containing said sensitized material and said first named sheets and a strip of material lying partially beneath one `of said inner protective sheets and extending through said envelop to form a tab, by manipulation of which the p-rotective sheet and envelop may be disrupted to furnish access'to the sensitive material.

A dental X-ray film package comprising a sheet of sensitive material, a sheet of protectivermaterial on one side thereof, two sheets of protective material on the other vside thereof, the edges of the first named sheet being bent around the edges of the film and lying between the edges of the twosheets on the other side, the outer sheet being adhesively joinedto such turned over edge, and a strip extending through such adherent joint and through the inner protective sheet to furnish means for tearing open the package.

A dental X-ray film packet comprising a sheet of sensitized film, protective sheets on each `side of said film, the edges of one being bent around the edges of the lm and the second sheet, the secondsheet having a slit therein, a rip strip, the greater portion of which lies between the film and the slitted sheet, and whichpasses through the slit and continues in the same direction across the package beyond the edge thereof, and a sealf ing strip secured to'the turned over edges mentioned and to the second sheet and to the strip.

A dental X-ray film ackage comprising a sheet of sensltized 11n, a protective' sheet of greater dimensions than said film upon one side thereof, the ed e portions of the sheet beine bent around tlcie edge of the film, a protective sheet `on the other side of the film having'a slit therein( the edges of which 'lie under the bent over edges of the first named sheet, a sealin strip coated with anadhesive material an pressed into adhesive contact with the second sheet and the edges ef the first sheet, and a strip extending across the package, the major portion thereof lying between the film and the sec- 'ond named protective sheet, and passing through the above mentioned slit, and a portion t RAYMOND R.
