Abstract

423,120. Road - traffic signals on vehicles. GOODFELLOW, W. L., 762, Stockport Road, Manchester. Sept. 19, 1933, No. 25872. [Classes 13 and 118 (ii)] A reverse light and an audible signal are effective when the gear lever is put into reverse, a switch being provided to cut out the audible signal and a pilot lamp to indicate when the audible signal is cut out. The reverse light and bell may be separate, may form a single unit or may be combined with a brake-controlled stop light and the normal rear lamp. As shown in the Figures when the gear lever 7 is moved into reverse, switch E is effective to operate lamp A and bell B which may comprise a single unit as shown in Fig. 4. To cut out the audible signal the switch F is operated, whereupon lamp G is lit to indicate that the audible signal is cut out.
