422,712. Hand tools for depositing water. BRADLEY, G. F., 2, Brunner Close, Hampstead Garden Suburb, London. July 23, 1934, No. 20729 /33. [Class 6 (ii)] A fitting for a garden hose pipe comprises a rigid metal tube 1 open at one end for connection to the hose 2 and having a tapered nozzle 3 at the other end adapted to penetrate the soil ; the nozzle is in the form of a solid member having a central duct 4 met by recesses 5 to form perforations 6. The metal tube 1 is screwthreaded to receive the nozzle 3 and may be provided with a footrest 7 to assist in pressing the device into the ground. The device can be attached to a garden fork by means of a tapered sleeve 8, Fig. 3, which may be formed of the foot-rest 7.
