[Class 18] A case or cabinet of wood, plywood, papier-mÔchÚ, or the material known by the Registered Trade Mark " Bakelite." For small packets, boxes, cartons, photographic plates, films, &c. suitable, e.g. for a tobacconist's shop is constituted by one or more compartments a, Figs. 2 and 3b, the cigarette packets, matchboxes &c. being visible through a glass front or a slot b, delivery taking place through a front opening g of less depth than the thickness of two packets, a slot e being provided in the bottom from front to back, the back being removed or slotted at the bottom at f to enable a finger to be inserted. An indication of the number of packets remaining in a compartment may be given by means of discs m carrying numbers and mounted on springs n ; the disc is normally visible through an opening k, but when there is no packet opposite any given opening, the disc rises so as to be out of view. The discs may also be actuated by gravity or otherwise. An alternative indication may be constituted by a strip of material mounted on the front and carrying numbers. The container front may be hinged to swing forwardly to facilitate recharging and a bracket, clamp, ledge or small shelf may be provided in front of each compartment to hold a dummy packet.
