483,696. Coin-freed article-delivery apparatus. FITZPATRICK, H. J. (Maatschappij van Berkel's Patent N. V.) Nov. 4, 1937, No. 30198. [Class 27] In a coin-freed article-delivery machine in which the articles are stored in piles in magazines, the magazine 11, for the articles A is covered in front by a plate 12 which is pivotally mounted at 17 on the door 14 of the machine, the door being pivoted at 16 to the machine frame. The article retaining plate comprises a glass plate 12 mounted in a frame 13 and the door consists of a glass plate 14 carried in a frame 15. The pivots 17, 16 are arranged in juxtaposition and may be horizontal or vertical The plate 12 is normally held rigid with the door by a spring catch 18 which is released when access tc the space between the door and plate is desired for cleaning or other purposes. The plate 12 may be arranged to cover the fronts of several magazines.
