Abstract
483,254. Coin-freed article-delivery apparatus. FITZPATRICK, H. J. (Maatschappij van Berkel's Patent N. V.) Feb. 24, 1937, No. 5517. [Class 27] In a coin-freed vending-machine in which the stack of articles is guided at the rear and sides by fixed members and at the front by a guiding member arranged immediately behind the door of the machine, the front guiding member c, Fig. 1, and the door k have separate pivotal mountings and both have transparent plates which register to allow the articles to be seen, when the front guiding member and door are both closed. The member c comprises a frame d with a glass pane e and is pivoted in its lower edge on horizontal trunnions g. It may be pivoted about its upper edge or about a vertical edge, and is provided with a manipulating knob f by which it is opened when the magazine is to be refilled. In a modification Fig. 3, a front guiding member common to four stacks l, m, n, o comprises a pane of glass r mounted at its foot in a metal channel member s provided with trunnions g.
