797,732. Wall and like brackets; educational appliances. LORTON, J. Oct. 4, 1956 [Oct. 4, 1955], No. 28192/55. Class 52(5) [Also in Group XV] A display device comprises a supporting plate secured to an article and having rearwardly projecting upper and lower pegs engaging in apertures in an upright supporting surface, the upper peg having an enlarged or hooked head and the lower peg or tapered form which engages the opening receiving the peg while the plate is spaced from the supporting surface. As shown, wooden blocks carrying electrical equipment are each secured to a supporting plate 17 by screws passing through apertures 23. The plate has headed pegs 14 and tapered pegs 15 to engage selectively in key-hole apertures 11 arranged in staggered rows in a supporting surface 8 made from alminium sheet. The tapered pegs 15 and the spherical heads 16 of the pegs 14 engage, respectively, between and behind the edges of the narrowed part 20 of the keyhole slot under the influence of a spring 22. In modifications the supporting plate is elongated and has one upper peg straddled by a forked leaf spring, the head of the upper peg is a disc, the lower peg is wedge-shaped, and the apertures in the supporting surface are T-shaped.
