Abstract

[Class 38 (v)] [See also Group XL] A time-controlled switch, adapted to switch a wireless receiver on or off at any desired times, comprises a roller 33 rotated round a cylinder 13 having a conducting segment 15<1>, Fig. 4. The roller 33 is carried by a lever system 17, 18 rigidly attached to the driving shaft 3 of the hour hand of a clock. The cylinder is rotatable so that the roller 33 will contact with the segment 15<1> and complete the circuit of the receiver at any desired time. The segment 151 preferably corresponds to a period of two and a half hours as it is stated that valves should not be used continuously for a longer period. The receiver is switched off when the clock mechanism 2 runs down by the main-spring 40, Fig. 3, pressing against a pin 37 which moves to open contacts 51, 61.
