421,195. Pistons. BOSCH AKT.-GES., R., 4, Militarstrasse, Stuttgart, Germany.- (Assignees of Fischer, F. ; Muhlacker, Germany) June 27, 1933, No. 18235. Convention date, June 28, 1932. [Class 122 (i)] A piston is provided with an undivided skirt 22 separated from the head by a slot 20 and supported therefrom by vertical webs 28 starting from an annular web 29 of semicircular section. The lower por tions 27 of the webs 28 are widened to engage the skirt and may be corrugated. The bosses may be supported wholly by the webs which are flat at the bosses and cylindrical at their upper ends. Further transverse webs 30 may be provided.
