Convention date, April 29, 1933. [Class 83 (iv)] [See also Group XI] A tube which is cold rolled in a pilger mill B is annealed in an immediately connected furnace N. The furnace N is heated by high frequency current and may have adjoining it a furnace O heated by an electric resistance or by other means. Reducing gas, e.g. hydrogen, may be supplied from Q, and P shows a sand seal in which case the furnace is inclined so that the gas completely fills it without danger of explosion. The feed rollers G are driven from the pilger feed.
