419,979. Mixing - machines. SONSTHAGEN, A., 10, Broad Walk, Snaresbrook, London. Sept. 13, 1933, No. 25400. [Class 86.] In a mixing-machine for paints &c. means for clamping mixing vessels of different sizes co-axially with the mixing-tool comprise a pair of simultaneously operated clamps which engage projections on the vessels, and the mixing-tool consists of an apertured disc having skirt portions which gradually approach the centre, together with blades. The clamping arms 30, Fig. 2, are mounted to slide on a pair of bars 29 and are operated by a rod having threads of opposite pitch engaging mating nuts on the arms. The outer ends of the arms engage projections 28 on the vessel and are provided with clamps 36. The mixing-tool comprises a disc 40, Fig. 7, having skirt portions 42 which cause the material to flow inwardly and are mounted on the hub 45 by radial arms 46 having depending blades or scrapers 48. Inclined arms 43 are mounted on the skirt portions in the plane of their lower surface and have their under surfaces cut away. The arms 46 may be streamlined.
