Abstract
419,966. Fusible cut-outs. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., Magnet House, Kingsway, London, and GIBSON, J. W., c /o General Electric Co., Witton, Birmingham. June 19, 1933, No. 17430. [Class 38 (i).] In an electric cut-out of the kind wherein a fuse 3 is arranged within a tubular member 14 filled with oil or other liquid, a ring 10 screwed on to the terminal 7 at one end of the tube 14 engages, through a washer 12, the upper ends of arms 4, 5 which support the fuse and are housed in a recess in the terminal 7. A pressure relieving member comprising a diaphragm 13 having at least one annular corrugation is mounted in a recess in the ring 10. The arms 4, 5, which are shaped as shown in Fig. 3, are riveted to the upper supports 1, 2 of the fuse the lower supports 24, 25 of which are secured to a conductor strip 19 passing through a hollow piston 17 in the tube 14.
