Abstract

419,331. Electric stoves. RUNTE, E., 64, Hegibachstrasse, Zurich, Switzerland. Oct. 10, 1933, Nos. 27912 and 27913. Convention dates, Oct. 12, 1932 and Dec. 24, 1932. Addition to 415,047. [Class 39 (iii).] A plurality of sheet-metal plates slotted to form zig-zag resistances 10 are embraced at opposite sides by folded strips 15 of insulating material and are arranged vertically in spaced planes to form a series of air ducts. A series of vertically extending pipe frames 23 surround and support the resistance plates giving the stove the appearance of a hot water or steam radiator. The pipe frames are secured together by longitudinal bolts 25 passing through clips 24 which secure the resistance plates in pairs to the frames. The end frames are provided with feet 31. The heating elements may be made from sheets of iron by providing wide slots 13 at spaced intervals to enable each sheet to be folded into a pack. Alternatively, separate plates are used. In the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 the adjacent plates in a pack element are separated by distance pieces and the pack is embraced by two horizontal frames. Four such elements are arranged in an openwork frame. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
