Abstract

Stable preparations containing vegetable lecithin are obtained by mixing fresh unfermented soya sediment composed of lecithin, oil and water, or pure lecithin free from fat admixed if necessary with water &c. to form a colloidal solution or emulsion, with a carrier substance other than milk, for example casein, gelatine, vegetable albumen, glucose, gelatinized starch, blood, blood serum, or flour in such proportions that the mixture contains at least 25 per cent by weight of lecithin and then drying the mixture in warm air. The carrier substance envelops and protects the lecithin particles.ALSO:Stable preparations containing vegetable lecithin are obtained by mixing fresh unfermented soya sediment composed of lecithin, oil and water, or pure lecithin free from fat admixed if necessary with water &c. to form a colloidal solution or emulsion, with a carrier substance other than milk, for example casein, gelatine, vegetable albumen, glucose, gelatinized starch, blood, blood serum, or flour in such proportions that the mixture contains at least 25 per cent by weight of lecithin and then spray drying the mixture in warm air.
