Abstract
417,321. Snowploughs. STONE, A., Beeston Hall, Town Street, Beeston, Leeds. March 3, 1933, No. 6445. [Class 107.] The concave mouldboards 1 of a snowplough are mounted upon vertically adjustable rollers 3 whereby their height above ground level can be adjusted. The plough may have forwardly extending shafts for horse traction or, as shown, it is provided with pivoted thrust bars 4, 4, for pivotal connection to a motor chassis or to a bracket secured to a tramcar. The spindles of the rollers 3, in the form shown, are mounted in vertical slots 3<1> of brackets 2 welded to the mouldboards, and are secured in their required position of adjustment by bolts or like means. The thrust bars are also pivoted to the brackets and are braced by bars 6, 6. In a modification, the mouldboard, in plan, is straight and is inclined to the longitudinal and transverse axes of the machine.
