Abstract
416,786. Refrigerating ; nonconducting coverings for heat. ELECTROLUX, Ltd., 153, Regent Street, London.-(Assignees of Platen-Munters Refrigerating System Aktiebolag ; 2, Norrmalmstorg, Stockholm.) March 14, 1933, No. 7717. Convention date, March 14, 1932. [Classes 29 and 64 (ii).] Absorption systems.- The generator-absorber 10 of a reversing system is heat-insulated by material such as bright aluminium or other metal foils or sheets of small heat capacity. Preferably, the means for cooling the vessel during the absorption period comprises a closed condensing evaporating heat transfer system including a small bore coil 23 located around the vessel and inside the insulation, this coil also having small heat capacity. The generator-absorber shown has a central flue 13 with insert 37 heated bv a flame 11. The heat transfer system includes an air or water cooled condenser member 24, a receiver 26 and a heated coil 35 in the pipe 29 connecting the receiver to a reservoir 30 supplying the coil 23, as described in Specification 409,493. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 states also that aluminium foil protected by an applied oxide layer may be wound around the generator-absorber, with thin intermediate sheets of asbestos. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
