Abstract

415,806. Explosives. WACHE, C., 2, Niedersedlitzer Strasse, Dresden, Germany. March 6, 1933, No. 6742. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Sept. 11, 1933.] [Class 9 (ii).] A blasting powder safe in handling consists of a mixture of metallic nitrates and slightly nitrated cellulose, the metallic nitrate being preferably formed at the same time as the cellulose is nitrated. For example, slaked lime is mixed with nitric acid, then cellulose is added and stirred. The product may be neutralized by the addition of lime dust, if still acid, and is dried. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 326,974, [Class 9 (ii)].
