Abstract

415,381. Mixing-machines. HARRISON, N., 18, Killowen Street, Low Fell, Co. Durham. Jan. 21, 1933, No. 2047. [Class 86.] In a mixing-machine having a rotating pan with a central discharge opening, a door is arranged to close the opening from beneath the pan and is interconnected with a deflecting blade which is lowered as the door is opened. The door 2 is carried on an arm 3 pivoted on a shaft 4 on which is a second arm 7 connected by a link 8 to a lever 10 which operates the deflector 15. The latter is carried by uprights 13 sliding in guides 12 and connected by a cross piece 14. A counter-weighted arm 5 is also provided to the shaft 4 with lost motion to hold the door open or closed.
