414,996. Trolly - heads for tramcars &c. SUFFLING, A. R., 25, Priory Avenue, Prittlewell, DRYSDALE, J. G., 41, Clarence Road, both in Southend-on-Sea, and HAMMOND, S. D., 33, Hall Park Avenue, Westcliff-on-Sea. March 23, 1934, No. 9160. [Class 104 (iii).] In a trolly-head of the kind having a pivoted harp support adapted to be tilted backwards together with the harp in opposition to a resilient controlling element, in case it meets an obstruction, the bracket c in which the harp a swivels is pivoted at d to a sleeve e secured to the pole, and the resilient element is anchored at one end to a pulley guard g and at the other end to the sleeve e. The resilient, element may consist of a cylinder h and piston l enclosing a spring k, the piston rod i being anchored to the guard g, while the cylinder is connected by bayonet joint to a socket m hooked to a pivot n on the sleeve e.
