Abstract

414,798. Dispensing liquids. CHALMERS, R. A., and TECALEMIT, Ltd., Great West Road, Brentford, Middlesex. Feb. 27, 1933, No. 5893. [Classes 102 (i) and 102 (ii).] Apparatus for discharging lubricant from a drum 1 comprises a bucket pump 3, which is provided with a large air vessel 16 and a pressure gauge 18, thus permitting accumulation of lubricant under pressure above the bucket 4, the lubricant being discharged by opening the valve 20 of the hose 19. Excess pressure is avoided by means of a byepass valve 21 between the air vessel 16 and the container 1. The bucket comprises a cup-leather 4a clamped between a perforated washer 4b and a member 4d forming the seating of the valve 5. The bucket is operated from a hand-crank 14<a>, and the rod 6 is of sufficient length to permit dispensing with a connecting-rod.
