Abstract

414,035. Air &c. filters. HALL & KAY, Ltd., HALL, J. H., and KAY, P., Stockport Road, Ashton-under-Lyne. Oct. 20, 1932, No. 29314. [Class 8 (ii).] In a filter for air or gases comprising a series of frames or skeletons covered with flannel &c., the frame &c. is of metal and is provided with a base or junction piece 12, 13 supporting the frame and forming a connection with the conduit into which the filtered air passes. The frame may be of U- shaped wires 18 with supporting rings 19 and top wires 20 supporting the fabric. Alternatively it may comprise a zig-zag plate forming longitudinal ducts with the fabric, or may be constructed of wire gauze with internal zig-zag stiffening plates, expanded metal &c. The flannel &c. may be secured to the base by longitudinal and transverse rods bolted together, co-operating with bulges on the base. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 177,855 and 242,388, [both in Class 8 (ii)].
