500,669. Filter - presses. H EATH, J. S., and HEATH, C. R., (tradingas HEATH & SON, U. H.). Dec. 23, 1937, No, 35622. [Class 46] A method and means of supporting strainer cloths between the trays of a filter-press where the upper edges of the trays are interrupted by suspension blocks or the like, is characterized by the use of double-armed U-shaped slide clips, and by the upper edges of the cloths being formed with wide open hems having slits in their inner faces to receive the clips at points near the ends of the suspension blocks. As shown, the upper edge of each cloth is formed with a hem b having slits c on the inner face to receive the clips f. Specification 482,612 is referred to.
