Abstract

An electric insulating-composition is prepared by heating asbestos, freeing if from air, and impregnating it with "nitro-lacquer, highgrade oil lacquer, hydrocarbon mixtures" or synthetic resins, which may be glyptal resins, phenol resins or aniline resins. Insulating sheets or tapes may be obtained by treating asbestos paper and tape in this manner.
