Abstract

412,238. Sanitary bins; hollow-ware. JACKSON, E. L., 101, Gray's Inn Road, London. Dec. 22, 1932, No. 36364. [Class 26.] In a sanitary bin or receptacle of the kind having adjacent its opening a lug or lugs 5 with which is pivotally connected an element 3 secured to the lid and which extends away from the latter and beyond the pivot 4, the said extending portion is shaped to provide a transverse member adapted to be grasped by the hand. The handle is formed from a blank, which is bent to the shape shown in Fig. 6 after a U-shaped incision is made, side members 9 and the handle, curved at 10, 11 being thus provided. The lugs may be detachably or rigidly connected to the bin, which may be strengthened as at 7.
