Abstract

412,109. Gas purifier valves. WALKER, Ltd., C. & W., Midland Iron Works, Donnington, and BEARD, G. F. H., Muxton House, both near Wellington, Shropshire. Nov. 20, 1933, No. 32348. [Class 55 (ii).] For varying the sequence of flow of gas through a succession of purifiers having a multiway valve at inlet and outlet, the valve comprises a body part 25-26 with inlets 30, 31 and outlets 32, 33 and a movable valve element consisting of circular discs 36, 37 having corresponding ports 30<a>, 32<a> respectively so that gas entering by either inlet flows to either outlet according to the relative positions of the discs. Each of the discs 36, 37 is rotatable upon a common spindle 35 by separate actuating means consisting of a pinion 46 meshing with an annular rack 47 on the disc, the pinion being mounted on a stem 44 provided with a handwheel 43.
