Abstract
411,981. Self-feeding brushes; handle fixings. TANGE, F. S., 830, Military Road, Mosman, New South Wales, Australia. Feb. 20, 1933, No. 5148. [Classes 19 and 61 (i).] A brush 7 to which paint is supplied under pressure through a pipe 6 and regulating valve has its holder 8 clamped in a two part socket 27 formed with a number of socket parts 28 for the handle, enabling the latter to be fixed by a bolt and ring nut 4 in different angular positions relative to the brush. The press knob 10 of the valve stem 7 is received between fingers 11 on a socket 12 constituting a pressure head through which passes a rod 13 connected to a pivoted operating lever 20 at the lower end of the handle. A coil spring 14 is located between the socket 12 and an eye 15. When the handle occupies the position shown in Fig. 2, a lever 25 is interposed between the pressure head 12 and the valve head 10. Surplus paint is caught in a cup 23 and led away by a pipe 24.
