Abstract

411,284. Convertible tent-frame and portmanteau. VERDINI, J. L. J. R., 12, Rue des Deux-Ormeaux, Bordeaux, France. May 22, 1933, No. 14753. Addition to 376,048. [Class 20 (i).] The supporting-frame 1 of the camping outfit claimed in the parent Specification is formed with side walls, bottom wall, and rear wall, and the rear wall has hinged to it an L-shaped member 2 which forms a closed case with the frame when folded down and, when erected, forms a support for the covering. In the form shown, a number of hinged panels 4, 4<1>, 4<11>, form the extension for the base, being secured in their extended positions by turnbuttons 8, 8<1>. A panel 9 is jointed to the panel 4<11> and forms a lower support for two straps 11, 11<1> the other ends of which are attached to the member 2 by buckles 12, 12<1>. A space 7 is left between the folded panel 4 and the base of the frame to accommodate a covering which, when the frame is extended, is spread over the straps 11, 11<1>, and secured to the supporting frame by press-buttons 14.
