[Class 120 (ii).] In the pressure apparatus for the drawing- heads of spinning and preparing frames, the pressure saddle 8 is coupled with the pressure rod 9 in such a way that the saddle has two working positions, a front position in which the saddle and rod remain articulated loading two pairs of cylinders 11, 15, and a back position in which the saddle and rod remain locked together forming one rigid piece loading only the back pair of cylinders 11, in which position the front cylinder 15 may be withdrawn without the back cylinders interrupting their movement. The pressure rod 9, bent at a right angle at 20 and carrying an eye 21, engages the pressure saddle 8 either by a pin 18, in the front working position, thereby loading the cylinders 11, 15, Fig. 3, or by a pin 19 in the back position, Fig. 4, whereby the saddle 8 and rod 9 are locked together and pressure is exerted on cylinder 11 only, the front one 15 being free to be raised. The device is stated to be particularly applicable to spinning-frames where for each spindle there are two or more drawing-heads with a false twist mechanism therebetween.
