[Class 99 (i).] The tubes in the superposed rows of tubes of a heat exchanger are connected by streamline junction pieces 13, 14, Fig. 3. A whole row of tubes may be secured in a casting including U -bends connected by streamline members 15, Fig. 6. In another arrangement, the members are formed by pressing material from adjacent tubes and welding the joint between the pressed material.
